Synopsis

Javid, 13, and his friends discover a sack of rice abandoned by the roadside. What begins as a simple find turns into a fierce struggle over who owns it. Faced with the extreme poverty of their town, a risky bet is struck, reawakening the most primitive instincts. Monkey explores human nature and its deep origins, long before the very concept of poverty existed.
