Biography
A Macedonian director, Georgi M. Unkovski makes his feature debut with DJ Ahmet. Born in New York, he is rooted in the culture and landscapes of North Macedonia, which he films with ethnographic precision and infectious tenderness. His cinema blends social realism, slapstick humor and a genuine musical sensibility, with the electro-folk soundtrack by the Sinkauz Brothers giving the film its distinctive energy.
