Director’s statement

“This is the freest and most experimental film I have made so far.” – Jaime Rosales
Shot in autumn 2023 in the streets and landscapes of Morlaix, in Brittany, Jaime Rosales's eighth feature is also the first he has shot entirely in French. It is an act of love for a town that captivated him at first sight: its steep valley, its iconic viaduct, its granite houses between land and sea.
The film multiplies formats and image textures: black and white and colour, 35mm and 16mm, widescreen and 4:3. The characters watch the film in which they themselves are the heroes and, in this dizzying play of mirrors, learn how to live. An experimental and moving work, somewhere between Rohmer and the New Wave; a cinema that moves to the rhythm of adolescence.
