Synopsis
Alec is a soft-spoken, introverted teenager raised in the orbit of his father Dylan’s low-budget adult entertainment business: filming, editing, uploading. When the family relocates to a quiet seaside town, Alec hopes for a fresh start. Everything shifts when he meets Nina, a fiercely independent classmate whose outlook challenges his entire understanding of connection and desire.

Director’s statement
“This film isn’t simply about porn, it’s about intimacy. And that’s far more frightening. Being truly present with someone, really looking at them, feeling what they feel: it’s richer, but also much more complicated.” — Muriel d’Ansembourg
Behind its provocative subject, Truly Naked is above all a film with heart, about the desire for authentic connection: the world of adult film is merely the backdrop for exploring this universal theme. Shot in English in the United Kingdom with a British cast, the film had its world premiere in the Perspectives section of the 2026 Berlinale. An intimacy coordinator was involved throughout the production, from the writing stage onwards: a deliberate choice by the director to ensure a safe creative environment for all the performers.
